Teaching Personnel is recruiting a Graduate Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant to work in a secondary school in Gateshead. This is an excellent opportunity to build meaningful experience working with pupils who have experienced trauma, anxiety, attachment difficulties and emotional regulation challenges.
The school offers a calm, structured and nurturing environment, grounded in trauma-informed practice and strong pastoral support. You’ll be supported by experienced staff while developing practical skills that are highly valued in education and mental health settings.
What you’ll gain from this role:

Your day-to-day role will include:
Supporting pupils 1:1 and in small groups

Using calm, consistent strategies to support regulation and engagement
Building trusting relationships with pupils
Supporting learning and classroom participation
Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
