Our client, a well-established and respected name in the food manufacturing industry, is currently seeking a Machine Operative to join their busy production team. This role involves operating a filler machine as part of the food production process, as well as carrying out minor maintenance tasks to keep operations running smoothly.

The Role:
This is a hands-on position ideal for someone with previous experience in a similar environment. You'll be responsible for ensuring the accurate and hygienic filling of food products, while maintaining machinery and adhering to health and safety protocols. The ideal candidate will be mechanically minded, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate the filler machine in line with production targets and quality standards

Carry out routine checks and minor maintenance to minimise downtime

Monitor product quality and report any deviations or issues

Ensure all hygiene, health & safety, and food safety standards are met

Maintain accurate production and maintenance records

Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors

Candidate Requirements:

Experience operating machinery in a food or FMCG manufacturing environment preferred

Some mechanical aptitude or experience with basic machine maintenance

Strong attention to detail and a focus on quality

Good communication and teamworking skills

Flexible and reliable, with a willingness to work shifts and occasional overtime
