Are you passionate about precision engineering and ensuring products meet the highest possible standards?

Do you have an eye for detail and hands-on experience with inspection in a machine shop or manufacturing environment?

We’re working with a leading manufacturing business based in East Kent who are at an exciting point of expansion..

What you’ll be doing:

Carrying out inspections across electrical, electronic, optical and mechanical parts, from goods-in to final assembly

Using a range of inspection tools such as verniers, micrometers and gauges to ensure components meet tight tolerances

Correctly quarantining and recording any defective or rejected products

Maintaining accurate inspection records and assisting with defect investigations and reports

Supporting continuous improvement initiatives and making recommendations for process enhancements

Calibrating and maintaining inspection equipment as required

Working to strict confidentiality standards in line with industry requirements

What we’re looking for:

Previous experience in a manufacturing environment - experience in assembly of electro mechanical products ideally

Strong knowledge of inspection methods, including the ability to read engineering drawings and understand GD&T

Confidence in using standard inspection equipment (verniers, micrometers, gauges) – CMM experience desirable

Good understanding of electro-mechanical equipment, both theory and operation

Strong communication skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team

A proactive, ‘can-do’ approach with a focus on accuracy and solutions

Due to the nature of the work, applicants must be eligible for UK Security Clearance (SC level)
