Job Description

This is a varied and hands-on role for a CNC Machinist / CAM Programmer who will be responsible for programming, setting, and operating a Haas 3 +1 rotary axis CNC machine.

You will work closely with production and tooling teams to manufacture precision jigs, fixtures, and tooling components while playing a key role in offline programming using SolidCAM (within SolidWorks). The CNC Machinist / CAM Programmer will also be responsible for performing inspections, ensuring quality standards are maintained, and contributing to continuous improvement of machining processes.

You’ll have the opportunity to contribute to new manufacturing developments, utilise 3D printing, and engage in problem-solving across multiple areas of the shop floor.

Skills & Experience

To succeed as a CNC Machinist / CAM Programmer, you will need:

Essential:

* Strong experience with Haas CNC machines (programming, setup, operation)

* Proficient in G-code programming

* Ability to read and interpret technical engineering drawings

* Experience machining a range of materials

* Knowledge of efficient machining processes and tool selection

* Familiarity with MS Excel and basic computer skills

* 3+ years of CNC machining experience

* Time-served background with relevant post-qualification experience

Desirable:

* Offline programming using SolidCAM within SolidWorks

* Manual milling and turning skills

* Surface grinding experience

* Familiarity with 3D printing processes

* HNC or equivalent qualification in engineering
