HGV Trailer Technician

Location: Newcastle

Basic Salary: £36,000 per annum

OTE: £42,000 with overtime

Hours: Monday to Friday (Day Shift Only) 

Extras: 33 - 37 days holiday per annum, Overtime paid at time and a third, private healthcare, pension, and more

Key Responsibilities of a Trailer Technician / HGV Trailer Technician: 

Perform detailed inspections, servicing, and repairs on trailers
Diagnose and resolve issues using EBS systems such as HALDEX, WABCO, and KNORR BREMSE
Accurately complete all compliance documentation
Work to tight deadlines while delivering high-quality repairs and customer service
Follow all health and safety guidelines to maintain a safe work environment
Participate in training including IRTEC, tail lift, BPW, SAF, and axle/brake courses
Essential Skills and Qualifications for a Trailer Technician / HGV Trailer Technician:

Semi-trailer or heavy vehicle experience
Industry-standard qualifications such as City & Guilds or NVQ
Desirable Skills and Qualifications for a Trailer Technician / HGV Trailer Technician:

HGV Class 1 driving licence
IRTEC accreditation
EBS diagnostics experience (Knorr Bremse, Haldex, WABCO)
Welding certification
Training or experience with axle manufacturers (BPW, SAF, JOST)
Tail lift, double deck, or lifting deck maintenance experience
