Technical Lead - Birmingham, West Midlands
Location: Birmingham (Hybrid) – 2 days a week in their offices
Salary: 70k + benefits
Erin Associates are recruiting for a Birmingham based software house seeking a hands-on Technical Lead to own architecture, technical direction, and best practices for a small, high performing development team.
 
Core Responsibilities

Lead architecture across Node.js, React, and .NET
Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to developers
Design scalable SQL and NoSQL data solutions
Drive performance, scalability, and cost-effective cloud architecture
Produce technical designs, prototypes, and architectural decisions
Produce clear documentation
Collaborate closely with algorithms and data processing teams 
Essential Experience

5+ years cloud full-stack development
2+ years in a Senior or Lead Developer role
Proven experience managing and mentoring developers
Strong enterprise cloud architecture background
Comfortable working hands-on within the code 
Required Skills
Backend: Node.js, TypeScript, C# (.NET)
Frontend: React, TypeScript
Data: Strong SQL, MongoDB (or equivalent NoSQL)
 
Cloud & Delivery

Azure (App Services, Azure Batch – production experience)
Azure DevOps (CI/CD, repos, pipelines, boards) 
The Technical lead will have a real influence over architecture and tooling and will be joining a friendly, agile, and innovative team, based in Birmingham where you will play an integral role in the development of data-rich, user-friendly applications.
