Are you an experienced and proactive Site Manager looking for your next challenge? We’re currently recruiting on behalf of a well-regarded mainstream secondary school in South Birmingham, seeking a dependable and skilled Site Manager to join their team for an immediate start.

This is a key leadership role responsible for the smooth operation, safety, and upkeep of the school’s site and facilities. You’ll play a crucial part in ensuring a safe, welcoming, and efficient environment for students, staff, and visitors.

Hours: Typically 37.5 hours per week (some flexibility required)

? Key Responsibilities:

Oversee the maintenance, security, and cleanliness of the school site and buildings

*

Manage site staff and external contractors

*

Conduct regular health and safety checks and ensure compliance with statutory requirements

*

Monitor and maintain heating, lighting, and alarm systems

*

Coordinate minor repairs, improvements, and refurbishments

*

Manage site budgets, supplies, and stock control

*

Act as a key holder and respond to emergencies, including occasional out-of-hours work

✅ The Ideal Candidate Will:

Have proven experience in premises management or a similar facilities role

*

Possess good knowledge of health & safety legislation and building compliance

*

Be hands-on, reliable, and highly organised

*

Have strong communication and team leadership skills

*

Be comfortable using basic IT systems for scheduling, reporting, and compliance logs

*

Hold relevant qualifications (e.g. IOSH, first aid, trade certification – desirable but not essential)
