We are currently seeking an experienced Site Engineer to join a major highways project in Carlisle, running for the next 18 months. This is an excellent long-term opportunity on a high-profile infrastructure scheme with immediate start available.

Role Responsibilities:

Setting out for highways works including drainage, earthworks, kerbs, and pavement

*

Ensuring works are delivered in line with drawings, specifications, and quality standards

*

Managing and maintaining accurate site records (RAMS, as-builts, QA documentation)

*

Liaising with site management, subcontractors, and the client team

*

Conducting site surveys and checks using GPS/Total Station

*

Supporting health & safety compliance on site

Requirements:

*

Proven experience as a Site Engineer on highways or civil engineering projects

*

Strong setting-out capability

*

CSCS card (essential)

*

SMSTS / SSSTS (preferred but not essential)

*

Ability to work independently and as part of a wider delivery team

*

Full right to work in the UK
