Site Manager – Water Infrastructure Projects

Alterca Recruitment is seeking a highly motivated Site Manager to join their clients growing team. This is an exciting opportunity for a Site Manager to play a key role in a long-term programme of work within the UK water sector.
As Site Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day on-site delivery of projects on a major water network.

Key Responsibilities of Site Manager

Lead and manage site operations on water and wastewater infrastructure projects

*

Ensure health, safety, environmental and quality standards are maintained

*

Oversee subcontractors and direct labour, ensuring effective resource coordination

*

Liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution

*

Maintain site documentation, risk assessments, and progress reports

*

Monitor project timelines and budgets, reporting progress to project managers

What We’re Looking For

*

Proven experience managing civil or mechanical works on water utility projects

*

Strong understanding of construction methodologies, HSEQ regulations, and CDM compliance

*

SMSTS certification (essential)

*

CSCS card (Gold or above preferred)

*

Excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills

*

Valid UK driving licence
