We are currently recruiting for an experienced Site Engineer to work on a Section 278 highways works package based in Birmingham. The role is for an initial 6-month contract with a strong likelihood of extension for the right candidate.

Scope of works includes:

Section 278 highways works

*

Drainage, kerbing, surfacing, road construction

*

Setting out for highways and associated civils works

*

Quality assurance and as-built records

Key responsibilities:

*

Setting out using GPS/Total Station

*

Checking line, level and quality of works

*

Managing and coordinating subcontractors

*

Completing QA documentation, ITPs and as-built drawings

*

Liaising with site management, designers and local authority inspectors

*

Ensuring works are delivered safely and to programme

Requirements:

*

Proven experience as a Site Engineer on highways projects

*

Strong Section 278 experience is essential

*

CSCS card (minimum)

*

Competent with surveying equipment (GPS/Total Station)

*

Ability to work independently and hit the ground running

Package:

*

£300 – £400 per day, depending on experience

*

Immediate start available

*

6-month duration with potential extension
