Adult Social Worker Opportunities - Manchester City Council

Eden Brown Synergy is recruiting for experienced Social Workers to join Manchester City Council across multiple teams. These exciting roles offer the chance to work in specialist areas, supporting adults with a variety of social care needs.

Available Roles

1. Sensory Team Social Worker - Hulme
Location: Hulme District Office, 323 Stretford Road, Manchester, M15 4WU
Rate: £30 per hour | Hybrid Role

Role Overview:

Provide specialist support to adults who are blind, visually impaired, Deaf, hard of hearing, or living with dual sensory loss.

Conduct accessible Care Act and MCA assessments, and develop strength-based support plans.

Lead safeguarding enquiries, risk management plans, and multi-agency protection meetings.

Work within a Dynamic Multi-Disciplinary Team (DMT) alongside rehabilitation officers, assistive technology specialists, health professionals, and voluntary sector partners.

Essential Requirements:

Social Work England registered

Experience with adults with care and support needs

Knowledge of Care Act, MCA, and safeguarding adults legislation

Ability to undertake accessible assessments and adapt communication methods

Desirable:

Awareness of Deaf culture, basic BSL skills, experience with sensory impairment services

2. QSW - HDTA Central Team - Willowbank / Gorton
Location: Cavendish Road, 31 Burton Road, Manchester, M20 1JG
Rate: £30 per hour | Office-based

Role Overview:

Provide direct support to service users and families in line with statutory duties.

Contribute to MDT discussions, manage risks, and design person-centred support plans.

Work 2 days/week at Willowbank Care Home, 1 day/week at Gorton Hub, plus weekend rota (1 in 7).

Shift pattern: 8:00-15:30 / 8:30-16:00 weekdays, 9:00-16:30 weekends.

3. QSW - Gorton INT
Location: Gorton Neighbourhood Hub, 27 Garratt Way, Manchester, M18 8HE
Rate: £30 per hour | Hybrid Role

Role Overview:

Support the Gorton Intermediate Team (INT) for adults social care.

2 years post-qualification required; experience with Liquid Logic preferred.

Social Work England registered

4. QSW - Learning Disability - Hulme
Location: Hulme District Office, 323 Stretford Road, Manchester, M15 4UW
Rate: £30 per hour | Hybrid Role
Duration: 3 months, start ASAP

Role Overview:

Support adults with learning disabilities, undertaking assessments, care planning, and safeguarding activities.

Social Work England registered
