Class 1 Tramper Driver

HireGiant are looking for a Class 1 Tramper Driver to do UK tramping for our established client based in Kegworth in a HGV 1 vehicle - You will be required to stay away 4 to 5 days at a time, this is a day tramper role so early starts are required.

This company are well known locally, having operated in the area for over 30 years. This thriving company works with many different companies across the UK.

The Class 1 Tramper Driver Role:

The Class 1 Tramper Driver will be required to work Monday to Friday on days, you will be required to sleep in the HGV tractor unit as this Class 1 truck has a sleeper cab. The role will be a variety of A to B mixed with some distance tips. The LGV deliveries with be mainly general haulage. The role will require the Class 1 driver to strap the load securely and adhere to UK/EU HGV tacho and WTD rules and manage this yourself as the LGV driver will be away from the depot for long periods.

Requirements for the Class 1 Tramper Driver role:

The Class 1 Driver will require:
Valid Digital tacho & CPC Card
Safety Boots & Hi Viz Vest

Hours & Pay for the Class 1 Tramper Driver role:

Monday to Friday (some roll backs on Saturday if needed)

Start time on day one usually between 04:00am - 08:00am

Pay - £16.00 - £18.00 per hour. PAYE
