Are you a passionate and creative Textiles Teacher looking for an exciting opportunity from September 2025? A thriving and highly reputable secondary school in the Selby area is seeking a dedicated teacher to join their Design & Technology department on a part time basis; 3 days per week, one-year maternity cover contract. This is a position across Wednesday, Thursday and Fridays for the full academic year.

About the Role:

Teaching Textiles across Key Stages 3 and 4, delivering engaging and inspiring lessons.
Supporting students in developing practical skills, creativity, and a strong understanding of textile design and technology.
Planning and delivering a broad and balanced curriculum in line with national standards.
Encouraging students to explore innovative ideas and experiment with materials and techniques.
Assessing, monitoring, and providing constructive feedback to help students achieve their full potential.
Contributing to the wider Design & Technology department and school community.
About You as the successful Textiles Teacher:

A qualified teacher (QTS/QTLS) with experience teaching Textiles at secondary level.
A strong subject knowledge and passion for creative design and practical skills.
Enthusiastic, innovative, and able to engage and motivate students of all abilities.
A team player with excellent communication and organisational skills.
Committed to delivering high-quality teaching and ensuring positive student outcomes.
