Quality Engineer

We are working with a well‑established manufacturing business who are looking for a Quality Engineer to join their state‑of‑the‑art site. This is a hands‑on role in a fast‑paced production environment, focused on problem‑solving, defect prevention and continuous improvement. Experience working to ISO 13485 is a key requirement.

Key Responsibilities

Investigate and resolve customer and internal quality issues
Lead root cause analysis using 8D, 5 Whys, Fishbone, FMEA, SPC
Drive Lean and quality improvement initiatives
Support new product introductions and engineering changes
Work cross‑functionally to improve product quality and KPIs
Ensure processes and documentation comply with ISO 13485 and other relevant quality standards
Support internal and external audits within an ISO 13485 environment

About You

Experience in a manufacturing environment (medical devices or ISO 13485‑regulated industry advantageous)
Strong Lean and problem‑solving background
Confident using 8D and root cause tools
Excellent analytical and communication skills
Plastics/injection moulding or life sciences experience desirable
Familiarity with working within ISO 13485 Quality Management Systems
