As a SEMH Teaching Assistant/ Aspiring Youth Offending Officer, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils with complex needs, helping them access education, regulate their emotions, and stay engaged with learning.

What You'll Be Doing:

Supporting students with SEMH needs and challenging behaviours in both 1:1 and small group settings
Implementing behavioural strategies and interventions in partnership with SENCOs, therapists, and teaching staff
Helping young people build emotional regulation, resilience, and positive social skills
Working closely with multidisciplinary teams-including social workers, psychologists, and education welfare officers-to ensure holistic support
Creating a safe and inclusive environment that encourages learning, reflection, and personal growth

What We're Looking For:

A recent criminology, psychology, or social sciences graduate, or someone with a strong interest in youth justice, education and training.
A compassionate, patient, and resilient mindset with a genuine passion for making a difference
A desire to build a long-term career supporting vulnerable young people in either educational or therapeutic settings
Some previous experience (formal or informal) with young people is helpful, but full training will be provided
Able to commute to Luton and work full-time during term time
