Estimator - Newtownards, Northern Ireland

Candidates must hold a UK or Irish Driving Licence as this may involve some travel to various sites.

Basic Salary £36,500 plus benefits

This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-growing organisation who are seeking an experienced Estimator to join their expanding team.

As an Estimator you will have previous experience of working as an estimator ideally within the construction or M&E sector, any experience of working in the Smoke Ventilation,

Fire Protection or HVAC industries would be advantageous, but not essential.

As an Estimator, you will ensure accurate cost estimates across various projects whilst working closely with sales, design, and project management teams.

As an Estimator, you will prepare competitive commercially viable tenders with the ability read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.

Candidate Skills

* Ideally hold a relevant qualification in engineering, construction management or a related field or be qualified by experience

* Strong analytical and numerical skills with attention to detail.

* Have excellent communication and negotiation skills.

* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel Word Outlook), any knowledge of estimating software or digital take-off tools would an advantage

* Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple tenders and deadlines.

Duties

* You will prepare detailed cost estimates and quotations for smoke ventilation projects and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and tender documents.

* Liaise with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors to obtain the best prices and solutions.

* Assess project risks and opportunities to ensure profitable and successful project execution.

* Collaborate with internal teams to refine designs and optimise solutions.

* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards and regulations.

* Support the handover of successful tenders to the project delivery team
