Our client RDJW Architects is hiring Assistant Architect to join their team.
JOB PURPOSE:
The position is mainly to assist the department head and perform the Architectural Design management.
KEY RESULTS AREAS (Key Accountabilities):
The successful candidate will be able to work under a minimum level of supervision in a heavy workload environment. This will be beside a quality sense of defining technical problems, collecting appropriate and related data to establish solutions.
JOB CONTEXT & ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

* Supporting Architectural Design: Assisting architects in the design process by creating drawings, sketches, and 3D models using computer-aided design (CAD) software.
* Research and Analysis: Conducting research on building materials, construction techniques, and relevant regulations. Analyzing site conditions and constraints.
* Documentation: Drafting and preparing architectural drawings, plans, sections, and details. Assisting with the preparation of construction documents and specifications.
* Collaboration: Working closely with architects, engineers, clients, and other stakeholders to develop design solutions and ensure project requirements are met.
* Site Visits: Participating in site visits to observe construction progress, assess site conditions, and coordinate with contractors and subcontractors.
* Code Compliance: Ensuring designs comply with relevant building codes, zoning regulations, and health and safety standards.
* Presentation: Assisting with the preparation of presentation materials for client meetings, design reviews, and public consultations.
* Model Making: Creating physical models or digital visualizations to communicate design concepts and proposals effectively.
* Project Management Support: Assisting with project management tasks such as scheduling, budgeting, and procurement.
* Continuing Education: Staying updated on advancements in architecture, building technology, and sustainability practices through professional development and training.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCES
* Degree in Architectural Engineering.
* Achieved a degree in architecture (RIBA Part 2).
* Extensive experience in Architectural design (minimum 5 years) in the respective consultancy firm.
* Knowledge of Vector works (desirable but not essential), Sketch Up, Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite, CAD skills in 2D and 3D.
* Knowledge of BS, Euro or international design standards.
* Demonstrated advanced communication and interpersonal skills at an individual and team level.
* Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel programs and general computer literacy skills.
* Demonstrated knowledge in the latest architectural design technologies.
