We’ve partnered with an amazing textile manufacturer, based in Greater Manchester in their search for a Group Accountant. Someone ready to take the reins from a long-standing team member who’s heading into retirement.
There’ll be a lengthy handover with plenty of support and knowledge-sharing to set you up for success. You’ll manage a small, tight-knit finance team of three and look after the numbers across three business units.
With a new Managing Director bringing fresh ideas and exciting growth plans, it’s a great time to join them.
What you’ll get

About You
* You’re a fully qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA or ACA) (Essential)
* Solid experience in management accounts, cost accounting and year-end close
* Good working knowledge of SAP and intercompany accounting
* You’re keen, and curious to really understand how the business works, not just the numbers
* A supportive leader that will bring out the best in others
* You’re loyal and committed, looking for a role where you can stay for a long time
* The ability to take on and retain lots of information during a thorough handover
About the Role
* Oversee all financial activity across three business units, ensuring accuracy and consistency at every stage
* Prepare and submit monthly management accounts
* Manage intercompany accounting and reconciliations
* Support the external audit process
* Oversee month-end and year-end close
* Coach and develop your small finance team
* Help improve reporting, processes and controls as the business grows
