The school is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated English Teacher to join their team on a long-term basis, with the potential to become permanent for the right person.

The successful candidate will be joining a friendly English department that values creativity, teamwork, and a genuine love of the subject. You will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, ensuring that every student feels confident, challenged, and inspired.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver high-quality English lessons that inspire and engage students

Create a supportive and stimulating learning environment

Prepare students for assessments and exams, ensuring progress and attainment

Adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of all learners

Foster a love of reading, writing, and communication within the classroom

Contribute to departmental planning, enrichment activities, and whole-school initiatives

Build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues

The successful English Teacher will have:

QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent qualification in English

Experience teaching English across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable but not essential)

Excellent classroom management and communication skills

A genuine passion for English and for helping students reach their potential

A proactive, flexible, and professional approach
