About the Role:

Lead and develop the Geography department, ensuring high standards of teaching, learning, and achievement across all key stages
*
Deliver inspiring and dynamic Geography lessons from KS3 to KS5, including GCSE and A-Level
*
Oversee curriculum planning, assessment design, and departmental quality assurance
*
Support staff development and mentor early career teachers within the department
*
Organise fieldwork opportunities and enrichment activities that enhance geographical learning and curiosity
*
Collaborate with senior leaders on whole-school priorities and drive student outcomes
The Ideal Candidate Will:
*
Hold QTS or PGCE with a degree in Geography or a related discipline
*
Have a proven track record of excellent Geography teaching at KS3–KS5
*
Demonstrate strong leadership potential or prior experience in a middle leadership role
*
Be committed to curriculum innovation, inclusion, and evidence-informed practice
*
Bring outstanding organisational skills, professional resilience, and a passion for student progress
*
Inspire both students and colleagues with high expectations and a collaborative mindset
