Up Front Recruitment is recruiting for a quality-led groundworks and surfacing contractor based in Nuneaton, seeking a reliable Plant Fitter to support a busy and well-run operation.

This is a straightforward Plant Fitter role with good kit, sensible management, and a clear workload. The Plant Fitter will focus on keeping plant safe, serviced, and ready for site, without unnecessary pressure or politics. It is an immediate start for the right Plant Fitter.

The Role

The Plant Fitter will service, maintain, and repair construction plant used across groundworks and surfacing projects. Work will be a mix of workshop-based maintenance and site support, ensuring downtime is kept to a minimum.

Duties

Service and maintain construction and groundworks plant

*

Diagnose and repair mechanical and hydraulic faults

*

Attend site breakdowns when required

*

Carry out inspections and safety checks

*

Keep maintenance records up to date

*

Work to health and safety standards

Experience

*

Experience working as a Plant Fitter

*

Background in groundworks, highways, or construction plant

*

Strong mechanical and fault-finding skills

*

Full UK driving licence

Salary & Package

*

£40,000 to £55,000 depending on experience

*

Company vehicle provided
