Our Client, a well-established contractor within Remediation, Demolition and Civil Engineering, are actively looking to add an experienced Site Manager to their Remediation and Earthworks division, based in the North West.
They are recruiting for an enthusiastic, competent, and experienced Site Manager to join their delivery team. This presents an opportunity to join one of the UK’s most respected and technically capable contractors specialising in brownfield remediation, demolition, and enabling works. Whilst not exhaustive, responsibilities and accountabilities include:
* Manage all day-to-day site activities on brownfield remediation and regeneration schemes across the North West.
* Ensure full compliance with planning conditions, environmental obligations, and health & safety standards.
* Supervise direct labour and subcontractors, ensuring high productivity and quality of workmanship.
* Coordinate site logistics, plant, materials, and personnel to maintain safe and efficient operations.
* Act as the primary point of contact on site for consultants, local authorities, and client representatives.
* Ensure accurate site documentation is maintained, including site diaries, RAMS, permits, and reporting.
* Attend and contribute to site and progress meetings, both internally and with external stakeholders.
* Identify and mitigate any potential delays or issues that could impact delivery or budget.
* Champion a strong safety culture and promote continuous improvement on site.
Essential
* HNC/D in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or other construction related discipline.
* Previous experience as a Site Manager on remediation and earthworks projects
* Strong technical knowledge of brownfield land preparation, earthworks and drainage
* SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Desirable
* Technical, Engineering background
* Experience with contaminated land remediation strategies and enabling works.
* Understanding of NEC or JCT contracts.
* Experience managing early-stage project delivery alongside planners and environmental consultants.

* Basic Annual Salary at commencement £55,000 – £65,000 subject to annual salary review and based on experience.
