Tool Room Machinist – Ashbourne | £30k–£32k

We’re looking for a skilled Tool Room Machinist to join our busy workshop in Ashbourne. If you enjoy hands-on machining, precision work, and taking pride in producing high-quality components, this could be the role for you.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Setting up and operating milling machines, centre lathes, saws, and drills.
Reading and interpreting engineering drawings to create accurate components.
Checking finished work to ensure it meets exact specifications.
Maintaining and caring for your machines and tooling.
Working closely with engineers and the production team to improve processes.
What We’re Looking For:

Minimum 1 year of hands-on machinist experience in a tool room or workshop.
Skilled with precision measuring tools (callipers, micrometres, gauges).
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
This is not a CNC operator role—we need someone with full machining skills and experience, not just programming or operating CNC machines.
Hours:

Monday to Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm (flexible start time up to 1 hour)
Salary & Benefits:

£30,000 – £32,000 per year (depending on experience)
25 days holiday plus 8 bank holidays
