Superior Recruitment group have a fantastic opportunity for a Survival Instructor to join one of their major clients in the Central Belt. The Offshore Survival Instructor is responsible for delivering high-quality survival and safety training to individuals working in offshore environments, such as oil & gas, wind energy, and maritime industries. The role involves teaching theoretical knowledge and practical skills related to offshore survival, including emergency response, firefighting, sea survival, helicopter underwater escape training (HUET), and first aid.
All courses are in our clients facility in the Central Belt in a heated swimming pool.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver Training Programs:
o Conduct classroom and practical training sessions for offshore survival courses in accordance with industry standards (e.g., OPITO, STCW, GWO).
o Instruct trainees in survival techniques, personal protective equipment (PPE) usage, and emergency procedures.
o Lead and supervise exercises in swimming pools, fire grounds, lifeboats, and HUET simulators.
• Ensure Compliance and Safety:
o Maintain up-to-date knowledge of safety regulations and training standards.
o Conduct safety briefings and risk assessments before practical sessions.
o Ensure all training activities adhere to health and safety protocols.
• Evaluate and Assess:
o Monitor and assess trainees’ performance.
o Provide feedback and guidance to ensure understanding and competence.
o Prepare and maintain accurate training records and certification documents.
• Course Development and Maintenance:
o Assist in the review and updating of training materials and course content.
o Provide input for course improvement based on industry developments and feedback
