We’re recruiting for an experienced External Site Manager to join a major commercial construction project in Bristol city centre. This is an excellent opportunity to work with one of the UK’s leading main contractors, renowned for delivering complex, high-value developments across the country.

This project is a large-scale commercial build, currently in full delivery phase, requiring a capable and proactive Site Manager to oversee the external works package.

Role Overview

As External Site Manager, you’ll take full responsibility for managing all external works, ensuring the successful coordination of subcontractors, maintaining progress against programme, and upholding the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance.

You’ll report to the Project Lead and be an integral part of a highly professional on-site management team delivering a landmark development in Bristol.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee all external construction works, including façades, cladding, hard landscaping, and envelope coordination.

Ensure H&S compliance, quality assurance, and smooth delivery in line with the build programme.

*

Manage and coordinate subcontractors and suppliers on site.

*

Liaise with the wider site and project teams to ensure seamless delivery across all phases.

*

Monitor progress, report updates, and proactively address potential issues.

Requirements

*

Proven experience as a Site Manager on large commercial or mixed-use projects.

*

Excellent understanding of external works packages and sequencing.

*

Valid SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid certifications.

*

Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills.

*

Ability to work effectively within a main contractor environment.
