A well-structured and high-standards secondary school in North Birmingham is seeking a talented English Teacher to join their English faculty from September. This is a school where students read regularly, write often, and engage in meaningful discussion — with the systems in place to ensure teaching is always the focus.

Your Responsibilities:

Deliver English Language and Literature to KS3 and KS4

Teach from a sequenced curriculum that balances core texts and creative writing

Support students in developing vocabulary, grammar, and analytical skills

Contribute to a reading culture, with DEAR time and regular reading interventions

Engage in whole-school literacy initiatives and data-driven intervention

Ideal Candidate Profile:

QTS and a degree in English or related subject

Able to collaborate in planning and contribute to school-wide literacy
