Are you an experienced Legal Cashier looking for your next challenge in a supportive and forward-thinking law firm?
We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our dynamic finance team at our busy Taunton office. This is a key role where you'll ensure our client and office accounts are managed accurately and in line with Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) Accounts Rules.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Working closely with the Accounting Manager, you’ll be responsible for all daily cashiering duties, including:
Processing incoming and outgoing payments, including bank transfers and reconciliations
Managing office and client ledgers
Issuing invoices and chasing overdue payments
Ensuring accuracy in bookkeeping and compliance with SRA Accounts Rules
Producing daily, monthly, and annual financial reports
Handling VAT submissions via HMRC online portal
Liaising with fee earners, support staff, auditors, clients, and regulatory bodies
Assisting with other finance and administrative tasks as requiredWhat We’re Looking For:

Previous experience as a Legal Cashier (essential)
In-depth knowledge of SRA Accounts Rules
Excellent accuracy and attention to detail
Strong communication and organisational skills
Confidence using legal accounting software
