Senior Quantity Surveyor - Groundworks (Residential)

Salary: Dependant on Experience

Our client is a reputable regional company operating across Dorset and surrounding counties. They are searching for an experienced Quantity Surveyor - must have over 5 years of residential experience with housing developers - to join their team.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced Quantity Surveyor with a strong background in Groundworks and Civil Engineering. The company offer a competitive basic salary with pension, private health, company car / allowance.

Typical projects include carrying out all aspects of residential groundworks including foundations, roads and adoptable drainage, domestic drainage, sub-structure block/brickwork, structural floors and external works. This extends to various aspects of civil engineering including pump stations, attenuation/balancing ponds, reinforced concrete structures and large diameter infrastructure pipework.

Role:

Groundworks experience.
A degree in Quantity Surveying or Civil Engineering is desirable.
Extensive knowledge of groundworks in a residential setting.
Tender pricing and take off.
Management of projects.
Monthly valuation preparation.
Cost control of projects.
Procurement & placement of bespoke material costs.
Relationship building with subcontractors, design team, and suppliers.
A background with groundworks subcontractors would be advantageous.
