Jackson Hogg is delighted to partnered with a local manufacturing business in supporting the search for a confident, proactive Buyer to join their well established procurment team, supporting a fast-paced and highly technical electronics manufacturing environment.

This is a hands-on, relationship-driven role — perfect for someone who enjoys problem-solving, thrives on variety, and knows how to get the best out of both domestic and international supplier bases.

Working closely with internal teams including Production, Planning, Engineering, and Customer Service, you’ll play a key part in ensuring materials and components are sourced efficiently, competitively, and in line with project requirements.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Managing day-to-day purchasing of electronic components, materials, and assemblies to meet production demands

*

Building strong relationships with suppliers globally, negotiating terms and maintaining performance

*

Working proactively to identify and resolve supply risks, delays, or shortages

*

Raising and managing purchase orders in SAP, ensuring accuracy and timeliness

*

Collaborating with internal stakeholders to align procurement activity with project timelines and forecasts

*

Supporting supplier performance reviews and helping drive cost savings, quality improvements, and on-time delivery

What you’ll bring to the role:

*

Proven experience in a Buyer or Purchasing role within electronics manufacturing or assembly or a technical manfuacturing environment

*

Excellent communication and relationship-building skills — both written and verbal

*

A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with strong problem-solving ability

*

Familiarity with SAP and strong organisational skills

*

Ideally CIPS qualified or working towards it (Level 3 or above preferred)

*

Confident managing supplier performance and negotiating commercial terms
