Civil Site Manager - National Grid Substation (South West England)

Start Date: 8th December 2025
Duration: Minimum 6 months
Rate: £550/day (CIS or Umbrella)

We are seeking an experienced Civil Site Manager to oversee works on a National Grid substation project in the South West of England. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a major infrastructure project with a leading contractor.

Key Responsibilities

Manage all civil works on site in compliance with National Grid standards.
Coordinate subcontractors and ensure adherence to project timelines.
Maintain strict health, safety, and environmental standards.
Liaise with project stakeholders and provide regular progress updates.

Essential Requirements

SR163 PCSM accreditation (mandatory).
National Grid Competent Person NSI 8 Full.
SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme).
HSG 47 (Avoiding Danger from Underground Services).
Temporary Works Supervisor.
Full First Aid certification.
Proven experience managing civil works on National Grid or similar high-voltage projects.

Additional Information

This role is offered on a CIS or Umbrella basis.
Competitive day rate: £550 minimum.
