We’re excited to be recruiting for a SEND Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive SEND school in Hatton, DE65. This school provides a safe and nurturing setting for pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities, including Autism (ASC), ADHD and complex learning needs.

This SEND Teaching Assistant role is ideal for someone who wants to develop their skills while helping pupils feel valued, supported and empowered to reach their full potential.

Your Role as a SEND Teaching Assistant:

Supporting pupils with SEND on a 1:1 basis and in small groups

Assisting with personalised learning based on EHCPs

Encouraging confidence, independence and positive behaviour

Working closely with teachers, SENCOs and therapy teams

Helping to create a calm, safe and engaging classroom environment

Temp-to-perm opportunity for the right SEND Teaching Assistant

✅ We’d Love to Hear from You If You:

Have experience supporting children or young people with SEND (Autism, ADHD or complex needs)

Are patient, caring and resilient in your approach

Enjoy working as part of a team and can communicate well

Understand safeguarding and child protection expectations

Experience in a school or special provision is ideal but not essential for a SEND Teaching Assistant
