Job Title: IT Software Developer
Pay and working hours:
* Salary: £28,623.00 - £31,288.00 per annum
* Working hours: Full-time, Permanent, 37 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities:
*
Developing and maintaining software applications: Working with users to
understand requirements, writing and testing code, debugging programs,
and integrating software components.
*
Collaborating with team members: Working closely with other developers
and stakeholders to deliver high-quality software solutions.
*
Supporting existing code and systems: Maintaining and improving existing
software applications to ensure they continue to meet user needs and
performance standards.
*
Training users: Conducting training sessions and providing guidance to
users to help them effectively utilise software applications.
*
Learning and applying new technologies: Staying updated with the latest
industry trends and technologies to enhance your skills and contribute to
innovative projects.
*
Participating in code reviews: Reviewing code written by peers to ensure
quality and security adhere to policy and best practice.
*
Ensuring security and secure coding practices: Implementing and adhering
to secure coding standards to protect applications from vulnerabilities and
threats.
*
Documenting processes and software: Creating and maintaining
documentation for software applications and development processes.
What We’re Looking For:
Essential:
- A minimum of a Higher National Certificate/Diploma in IT, IS or Computing.
Experience of the following:
• ASP.NET
• ASP.NET Core
• HTML, CSS, Bootstrap
• JavaScript
• C#
• Microsoft SQL Server.
- Experience of using large databases/informationsystems.
