The Transport Supervisor will be responisble for overseeing all transport operations on back-shift 14:000 - 22:00, Monday to Friday. Alongside this, you will oversee compliance, H&S, and communication with customers.
The key responsibilities for the role of Transport Supervisor based in Andover will be:
Oversee daily transport operations, ensuring compliance, efficiency, and meeting customer SLAs.
Manage driver performance, including dispatch, debriefs, and ongoing development.
Coordinate fleet usage and subcontractors to deliver cost-effective logistics solutions.
Maintain high standards in vehicle safety, presentation, and regulatory compliance.
Ensure accurate use of transport systems (e.g. TMS, TruTac, CMS) and driver CPC training.
Promote a safe working environment, adhering to all health & safety and legislative requirements.
The successful candidate for the role of Transport Supervisor based in Andover will have:
Strong transport and fleet operations knowledge, alongside transport compliance, WTD and Driver's hours.
Excellent IT skills, including TMS and Microsoft Office.
Proven ability to lead, motivate and develop a team.
Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
Effective communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
Flexibility and resilience in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
The successful candidate for the role of Transport Supervisor based in Andover will receive:
A salary of £34,000 p/a.
A working schedule of 14:00 - 22:00, Monday to Friday.
