We are now seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 2 Teacher to join our team from September 2025.

Role Overview:
As a Year 2 Teacher, you will play a crucial role in guiding pupils through their final year of Key Stage 1, preparing them for the transition to Key Stage 2. You will plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons and ensure that all learners are supported and challenged. The successful candidate will bring energy, creativity, and a commitment to high standards of teaching and learning.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver high-quality lessons in line with the Key Stage 1 curriculum

*

Prepare pupils for end-of-KS1 assessments through effective planning and targeted support

*

Assess and monitor pupil progress, adapting teaching to meet individual needs

*

Create a positive, inclusive classroom where all children feel valued and motivated

*

Work closely with colleagues, teaching assistants, and school leaders to ensure consistency and excellence in teaching

*

Build strong relationships with parents and carers to support pupil development

*

Take an active role in wider school life, including trips, performances, and enrichment activities

We are looking for:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

*

Experience teaching in Key Stage 1, ideally Year 2

*

A strong understanding of the KS1 curriculum and assessment requirements

*

Effective classroom management and the ability to create a positive learning environment

*

A reflective, proactive, and collaborative approach to teaching

*
