Questech are recruiting on behalf of our client in Wakefield for a Contract - Electrical Controls Engineer who can focus on designing, developing, and maintaining automated control systems, including programming and configuring PLCs, SCADA systems, and other automation technologies.

Must be available immediately

The Person:

* Qualified to HNC/D level in Electrical or Control Engineering, or possess an equivalent qualification, with time served or a suitably recognised qualification in electrical/control engineering.

* Experience working with Omron and Keyence

* Must also be good with robots and cobots.

* Demonstrable practical experience in both reactive and preventative electrical maintenance, and continuous improvement.

* Computer literacy, including knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, and experience in relevant software (e.g. design and calculation software)

* Solid understanding of PLC programming and fault finding

* Knowledge of Computer Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) and expertise in WCM/TPM techniques.

* Ensure that all Control & Electrical assets are maintained in accordance with the company’s requirements and in compliance with relevant statutory health & safety and environmental legislation.

The shifts are Monday to Friday - Days Only

The rate will be between £40.00 - £45.00 per hour (dependant on experience)
