SEN Tutor / SEND Tutor – Redcar | Autism | SEMH | ADHD | 1:1 Tuition

New Chapter Tuition is recruiting experienced and passionate SEN / SEND Tutors to provide 1:1 personalised tuition to children and young people across Redcar and surrounding areas.

This role is ideal for teachers, tutors, learning mentors, HLTAs, and education professionals with experience supporting learners with Autism (ASC), SEMH, ADHD, and complex needs.

You will deliver high-quality, nurture-led education in community settings including family homes, libraries, learning hubs, and alternative provisions.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver 1:1 SEN / SEND tuition

*

Support learners with Autism, SEMH, ADHD, and additional needs

*

Plan and deliver personalised learning programmes

*

Adapt sessions to individual EHCPs and learning plans

*

Use trauma-informed and nurture-based approaches

*

Build positive relationships to support engagement and wellbeing

*

Track progress and complete session reports

*

Liaise with parents, schools, and professionals

Candidate Requirements

*

Experience working with SEN / SEND learners (Autism, SEMH, ADHD)

*

Understanding of the UK National Curriculum

*

Teaching, tutoring, TA, HLTA, or mentoring background preferred

*

Calm, patient, and resilient approach

*

Strong communication and organisational skills

*

Ability to work independently in home-based settings

*

Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply)

*

Right to work in the UK
