HGV Tanker Driver (Class 1 & 2)

Location: Pontefract

Salary: £19.87 per hour / £45,000 per year equivalent

Contracted 48 hours/week (average. 40 hours/week)

Shift Pattern: Monday - Friday. 5/6am starts

Temp to perm opportunity - 12 weeks through agency and then offered a permanent contract

What You’ll Be Doing

Class 1 Duties:

Drive articulated tankers delivering bulk flour

* Deliver to a variety of customers across UK

Class 2 Duties:

*

Drive curtain-sided vehicles delivering bagged flour

*

Manual handling of 16kg sacks required (some palletised deliveries included)

All Roles Include:

*

Vehicle checks, defect reporting & compliance with driver hours/tachographs

*

Maintaining a clean vehicle

*

Delivering to customers in a friendly, professional manner

What You’ll Need

Valid Class 1 (C+E) and/or Class 2 (C) licence

Valif CPC and Tacho

Physically fit – able to lift 16kg sacks

No major endorsements

A good understanding of road safety, driver regulations & great customer service skills
