Staff Nurse (RMN / RNLD / RGN)
Location: York
Salary: £37,630 - £46,150 per annum (DOE)
Hours: Full time - 38.5 hours per week (days & nights)
Contract: Permanent

A specialist neurological and neuropsychiatric service in York is recruiting Staff Nurses to join its multidisciplinary clinical team at a modern, purpose-built facility.

This is an excellent opportunity to work within a highly supportive environment, delivering person-centred care to adults with acquired brain injury and associated mental health and physical needs.

The role:

Deliver high-quality, personalised nursing care to adults with complex needs

Work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team

Support service users through assessment, rehabilitation, and recovery pathways

Act as a positive role model and contribute to a safe, therapeutic environment

Participate in care planning, risk management, and service improvement initiatives

Maintain accurate clinical documentation in line with professional standards

Requirements (essential):

NMC registration (RMN, RNLD or RGN)

Compassionate, flexible, and motivated approach

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team

Desirable:

Experience working with acquired brain injury

Knowledge of the Mental Health Act and Mental Capacity Act

Experience as a practice supervisor or assessor

Understanding of risk assessment and management

Basic IT skills and experience using electronic records
