Hygiene and Production Manager

Location: Ilminster, Somerset

We're looking for an enthusiastic person to join our Production and Hygiene Night Shift Team

Leading from the front, you'll coach and support your team to drive performance, maintain our safety culture and exceed our customers’ expectations, every day. You'll play a vital role in the Operations Management team to drive continuous improvement through our people, process and business key performance indicators.

Operation of all tipping, washing, grading, filling and packing equipment must be optimised so run to a high standard, minimising down time and involve the monitoring of the overall process so able to ensure continuous improvement and adoption of lean principles are implemented.

To take a lead role in the running of the production and hygiene departments, providing support and cover for the Team Leaders and coaching/direction for all team members to drive performance improvement. Particular attention should be focused on continuous improvement programmes and managing change

Your experience in food manufacturing will have given you the skills we need; a people motivator, a good communicator, a positive approach to problem-solving and the ability to meet deadlines.

Skills & Experience

* Degree Level Qualification/NVQ Level 3 preferred

* 2 years management experience in FMCG preferred

* Microsoft Office and email conversant essential

* Excellent people and communication skills essential
