Teaching Assistant

Location: Southwark, London
Position: Teaching Assistant
Start Date: September 2025 - end of academic year
Contract: Full-time, Fixed-term (until at least July 2026)
Salary: £90 per day increasing to £118 per day after 12 weeks

About the Role: SANZA Teaching Agency is excited to offer an opportunity for a nurturing and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming 2-form entry primary school in Southwark. This position is perfect for someone who is passionate and experienced working with children who have additional needs, ensuring they have a positive and engaging experience whilst in school.

Teaching Assistant Key Responsibilities:

Provide 1:1 and small group support for children with special educational needs
Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to develop and implement individual education plans (IEPs).
Support children with a range of SEN, including speech and language delays, autism, and developmental delays
Assist in delivering engaging and sensory-focused activities tailored to the needs of the children.
Create a positive, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment
Monitor the progress of SEN students and provide feedback to staff and parents.Teaching Assistant Requirements:

Previous experience working with SEN children
Patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
Relevant qualifications (such as NVQ/CACHE) are desirable but not essential.Why work with SANZA?
