We are currently recruiting a dedicated and proactive SEN Teaching Assistant to support a brand-new Speech and Language Therapy (SALT) provision within a vibrant and inclusive primary school in Welling, starting this September.

The Role:In this  SEN Teaching Assistant role, you will work alongside a specialist SEN teacher to deliver tailored interventions and provide in-class support as part of the school’s newly launched SALT provision. Pupils will primarily remain in their mainstream classes, accessing the provision for targeted support as needed. The provision, located in a dedicated space adjacent to the main school building, will initially support 7 pupils, with capacity to grow to 10.

You will play a key role in developing and implementing communication-focused strategies and resources to help pupils access learning across the curriculum. Alongside your work within the provision, you will also support children in mainstream classrooms to enhance their understanding and communication.

The School is Looking for an SEN Teaching Assistant who:
Has experience supporting children with speech, language, and communication needs (SLCN) or within a SEND setting.
Is confident delivering small-group or one-to-one interventions.
Demonstrates a patient, empathetic, and flexible
