Job Summary:

The Assistant Restaurant Manager supports the Restaurant Manager in the daily operations of the restaurant, ensuring exceptional customer service, efficient staff management, and smooth operational flow in a fast-paced airport environment. This role requires strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and the ability to maintain high standards of quality and compliance with health and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist the Restaurant Manager in overseeing all aspects of the restaurant’s operations.

*

Ensure excellent customer service is delivered consistently to all guests.

*

Supervise, train, and motivate restaurant staff to maintain productivity and high service standards.

*

Manage staff scheduling, attendance, and performance evaluations.

*

Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback promptly and professionally.

*

Monitor stock levels, place orders, and work closely with suppliers to ensure availability of ingredients and supplies.

*

Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and health & safety regulations at all times.

*

Assist in managing budgets, controlling costs, and maximizing profitability.

*

Support the implementation of marketing and promotional activities within the restaurant.

*

Maintain cleanliness and presentation standards throughout the restaurant.

*

Cover shifts for the Restaurant Manager when required.

Requirements:

*

Previous experience in a supervisory or assistant managerial role within a restaurant or hospitality setting, preferably in a high-volume environment.

*

Strong leadership and team management skills.

*

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

*

Ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple tasks efficiently.

*

Knowledge of food safety standards and health & safety regulations.

*

Flexibility to work shifts including weekends, evenings, and public holidays.

Customer-focused with a passion for delivering excellent service.

*

Basic financial and budgeting knowledge is a plus.

*

Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems and restaurant management software.
