A welcoming primary school in the DE21 area is seeking a Year 5 Teacher to join them on a part-time basis, starting as soon as possible. This role would suit a teacher who enjoys Upper KS2 and is confident delivering engaging, structured lessons that support both academic progress and personal development.

You’ll be joining a friendly, child-centred school with a supportive SLT and a collaborative staff team who value consistency, high expectations, and positive relationships.

The Role

Shared class teacher responsibility for a Year 5 class

*

Planning and delivering engaging, inclusive lessons across the KS2 curriculum

*

Supporting pupils’ progress through effective differentiation and assessment

*

Creating a calm, purposeful learning environment with clear behaviour expectations

*

Working collaboratively with colleagues to ensure continuity and consistency

*

Maintaining positive communication with parents and carers

What We’re Looking For

*

QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) – essential

*

Experience or confidence teaching Upper KS2, particularly Year 5

*

A nurturing, professional and reflective practitioner

*

Strong behaviour management and the ability to inspire and motivate learners

*

Commitment to high standards and positive classroom culture
