Key responsibilities for this Food Technology ECT position include:

Teaching engaging and practical Food Technology lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4

Developing students’ culinary skills, knowledge of nutrition, and food hygiene awareness
*
Planning and delivering lessons that encourage creativity and healthy living
*
Supporting students with coursework and assessments in line with national standards
*
Working with DT colleagues to integrate food with broader STEM themes
*
Participating in ECT induction and targeted professional development
*
Encouraging participation in cooking clubs, competitions, and community events
*
Helping create a safe, inclusive, and inspiring learning environment
We welcome applications from Food Technology ECTs who:

Have a degree in a relevant field (Food, Nutrition, Hospitality, etc.) and are completing QTS in 2025

Are passionate about teaching food and the life skills it imparts

Bring strong subject knowledge and a love for practical teaching
