School Finance Assistant.

**Independent School based in West London.

**Part-time, 3 days per week, maternity contract.

**ASAP Start.

Our client is an Independent Prep School for pupils aged 3-13 based in West London.

They are looking to appoint a School Finance Assistant to cover maternity leave. The successful candidate will join a small, enthusiastic finance team.

This is a part-time role, working 3 days per week, 08:30 – 16:30. Occasional working from home may be requested.

Job Duties:

You will assist the Finance Manager in ensuring financial procedures, systems, budgets and internal controls whilst complying with the schools’ legal obligations and requirements.

Previous experience in working within finance is essential and there may be a requirement to help in reception during periods or during absences, so strong interpersonal skills are needed. A willingness to learn about payroll processes is also required to help the Finance Manager.

Candidate Profile:

You will be educated to a high standard including relevant qualifications within finance and accounting (AAT/ACCA). Previous experience of working in a school isn’t essential but a willingness to undertake relevant safeguarding training will be needed.

You will have previous experience of working in a Finance Team and have strong interpersonal skills whilst demonstrating knowledge of using Microsoft and Finance software.
