Smile Education is proud to be working in close partnership with the Endeavour Multi Academy Trust to recruit an experienced SEN 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join their sensory provision team from September 2025.
This part-time opportunity is ideal for a passionate and skilled professional who thrives in a specialist environment and is looking to make a genuine impact in the lives of children with complex needs.
About the Role:
Provide 1:1 support for primary-aged pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
Work within a dedicated sensory provision supporting children aged 2-11 years
Deliver curriculum-aligned activities tailored to each pupil’s individual learning needs
Support with personal care as required
Collaborate with a large, established team of experienced professionals
Flexible working days required to meet the changing needs of the schoolThe Ideal Candidate:
Holds a minimum Level 2 qualification in Childcare or Education
Has recent experience supporting Primary-aged pupils with SEND in the UK
Confident in working independently while also taking direction from a wider team
Possesses a solid understanding of the primary curriculum and how to adapt it for SEND learners
Has experience supporting children with autism, challenging behaviour, and a range of learning disabilities
Able to demonstrate strong safeguarding knowledge and commitment to inclusion
Must be able to provide two references, one of which must comment on experience working with children
Holds an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or is willing to apply for a new one through Smile EducationWhat You Can Expect:
