Position: Bid Manager
Location: Midlands, Hybrid, Min 2 days per week in the office
Salary: C. £45k - £60k negotiable depending on experience, with company car and other benefits
Role Overview:
* Our client is a well-established and well-regarded Staffing & Recruitment agency operating across multiple sectors across the UK.
* Independently owned, they have a collaborative and ‘family feel’ to their culture with low staff turnover.
* The Bid team sits within the wider corporate function, aligned closely with Sales. Work bid for tends to be around 50/50 across public and private sectors, and can be anything from small, quick turnaround PSL contracts to more complex MSP and RPO type bids worth up to C. £250m–£300m in value.
* This is a newly created role to strengthen their bid function as the current contractor (former permanent team member) reduces availability.
Team Structure:
* Bid Director, Experienced Bid Writer (15+ years' experience) and a Junior Bid Writer (recently joined)
* Contractor (ex-perm team member, now freelance – gradually stepping back)
Ideal Candidate:
* Background in staffing/recruitment preferred but not essential
* Could be titled as Bid Manager or Senior Bid Writer – fairly open on titles depending on the person and level of experience
* Ability to hit the ground running and add value from day one preferred
* Must have at least 3 years' Bid writing/ Bid Management experience
* Degree educated preferred
