We are looking for someone to join a leading UK Investment Casting manufacturer which has been supplying major OEM’s and suppliers across many industries for the last 50 years and offer bespoke and often very complex components in an extensive range of metals and specialist alloys.

We are looking to recruit someone to join the warehouse & inspection team. This position is a versatile role that required the successful candidate to be flexible and willing to adapt to various tasks within the warehouse and inspection areas on a day-to-day basis.

The role will involve day to day operation and administration duties with regards to shipments and receipt of incoming goods as well as dealing with location and allocation of parts and products as well as packing products for dispatch. You will also be responsible for inspection of goods and reporting of any faults or defects.

The ideal person will have experience in a goods in/out environment and have a keen eye for detail with an ability to work on your own initiative.

You will be working  Monday – Thursday 07.30am – 16:30pm    Friday 07.30am-12.30pm

Responsibilities:

Undertake, on a day-to-day basis, the operational and administration duties involved with the shipment and receipt of both incoming supplies and finished products.

Verify and maintain records using the business system (Synchro) on all incoming shipments.

Maintain inventory of all incoming materials.

Resolve any issues relating is misdirected goods.

Respsonible for the location, allocation and movement of all parts and products to fulfil all internal and external customer orders and outgoing shipments.

Verify all materials as they are received, checking product type and quantity, and recording any missing , damages, or faulty gods.

On a monthly basis provide a complete finished goods stock count to senior management.

Carry out inspection processes, as instructed by the departmental team leader. Inspect each part for faults and identify any faults and scrap parts which should be noted on the appropriate job card.

Securely pack parts in accordance with procedure, ensuring all parcels contain relevant paperwork and are labelled as necessary.

Carry out daily general housekeeping an cleanliness of the department , ensuring all equipment, tools and materials are in a secure and safe state.

Assist with maintaining the yard and hygiene areas, as and when required

Essential Requirements:

FLT & A5 Pedestrian Operated Stacker Truck Licences essential

Previous knowledge of picking orders.

Knowledgeable with MS Office packages

Familiar with using warehouse equipment.

Self-motivated and able to adapt to changing priorities.

Confident and logical under pressure but understand urgency and respond accordingly.

Desirable Requirements:

LEAN approach to storing and sorting.

Banksman trained is desirable, although full training can be provided.
