My client is seeking a proactive and experienced Site Manager to join the team on a construction project in South London. The project is a £50m refurbishment of a School. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day site operations, ensuring the successful delivery of projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage all on-site activities and coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants.
Ensure health & safety, quality, and environmental standards are adhered to at all times.
Monitor project timelines, budgets, and resources to keep projects on schedule and within cost constraints.
Conduct regular site inspections, H&S audits, and progress reports.
Lead site meetings and liaise with clients and project stakeholders as required.
Coordinate deliveries, logistics, and site access.
Ensure compliance with all statutory requirements and company policies.
Maintain accurate site records and documentation.
Requirements:
SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) - Required
CSCS Card (Black or Gold) - Required
First Aid at Work - Required
Proven experience working as a Site Manager for a main contractor.
Strong understanding of construction processes, building regulations, and health & safety legislation.
Ability to manage multiple trades and subcontractors efficiently.
Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience working on residential, commercial, or mixed-use developments.
Formal construction-related education (e.g., HNC, HND, or degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, etc.).
Proficiency with project management tools and reporting software
