SEN Teaching Assistant - St Helens - Immediate Start

We are currently seeking a compassionate and proactive SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive school in St Helens, starting as soon as possible.

Role:

SEN Teaching Assistant (1:1 or small group support)

Full-time, Monday to Friday

Immediate start

Long-term placement, with potential for permanent opportunities

Responsibilities:

Provide tailored support to pupils with a range of additional needs including ASD, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and SEMH.

Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement EHCP targets and adapt learning materials.

Foster a nurturing and supportive environment to help pupils feel safe and engaged.

Use a range of strategies to manage behaviour positively and effectively.

Requirements:

Experience working with children with SEN (in a school or similar setting)

A calm, patient, and caring approach

Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team

Relevant qualifications (e.g. Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant or equivalent) - desirable but not essential
